For those who knew my great-grandmother, Nellie Gibson, you know how much she loved her garden. Whether she was growing fresh produce or tending to flowers, she found joy and purpose in the soil. I strive to carry on her legacy and embody the same passion she had for gardening. My grandmother, Rose Gibson-Nellie's daughter-in-law, has also played a huge role in shaping who I am today. From being crafty to growing cucumbers, she has guided and taught me, passing down the skills that have become the foundation of my homestead. These two incredible women have left a lasting impact on me, and I wouldn't be where I am today without their love, guidance, and shared talents.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I can't wait to see where Little Nellie's Homestead grows from here!

To be a Homestead means to live in a way that focuses on self-sufficiency, often by growing your own food, raising animals, and making your own goods.
You might ask, why does this matter to me? Let me tell you why, in your busy world, you deserve little moments that feel like home. Not just clean skin or a nice scent, but comfort. Calm. Care. That’s what homesteading is really about: slowing down, living simply, choosing intention over convenience and surrounding yourself with things made with intention and love...not machines. A life where ingredients are pure, hands are busy, and hearts are full. It’s mornings spent watering vegetables, afternoons gathering herbs, and evenings with flower petals drying on the windowsill. It’s the joy of growing something real and then sharing it.
